Donor Testimonial: Neil Farber Believes in NFCR’s Focus
NFCR donor for the last two years, Dr. Neil Farber, is as busy now in his retirement as he was during his over 45 years as an internal medicine physician and professor.
When NFCR staff called to thank him for his recent gift, we learned that his second book, soon to be published, addresses the healthcare crisis and offers solutions to physician burnout, limited patient communication, and improved collaboration between physicians and administrators. We were pleasantly surprised when Dr. Farber shared that any proceeds from the book’s sales would be donated to NFCR and other charities. He reflected on his family’s cancer journey and why he chose NFCR as the charity to support cancer research.

“I want to see better screening for different cancers, early detection, and biomarkers that accurately diagnose cancer to save patients’ precious time, Dr. Farber shared. “After my own review of cancer research organizations, NFCR is the one organization that is laser-focused on the critical needs of cancer patients and supports the brightest scientists who collaborate to make the discoveries that will advance the fields and provide life-saving benefits for many cancers.”
We are grateful to Dr. Neil Farber for choosing NFCR as his trusted partner to accelerate cancer research to improve prevention, detection, and treatment to help make cures possible.
