Jorgie’s Backstory
In the vast, icy waters of the South Pole, where the sun barely graces the horizon and the nights are long, lives Jorgie, a wise and friendly orca. Born over five decades ago (just like NFCR!) with a keen intellect and a gentle spirit, Jorgie has always felt a deep connection to the world and its inhabitants.
Driven by a desire to help others, Jorgie embarked on incredible journeys across the seas, often visiting coastal communities and research institutions. With every encounter, he listened to the stories of those affected by cancer, from courageous survivors to dedicated researchers working tirelessly to find cures. Inspired by their strength and passion, Jorgie decided to become an advocate for cancer research.

With a big heart, Jorgie takes on the role of an ambassador of hope. Swimming into schools and community events, Jorgie shares tales of resilience and hope. His vibrant energy is infectious, as he encourages everyone to dream of a world where cancer is a thing of the past.
