A Soccer Team Fundraiser for Cancer Research

Your school's soccer team can help fight cancer by designating the proceeds collected at one game - or a series of games! - to raise funds for the National Foundation for Cancer Research. In doing so, you will become a part of a bigger movement - the national campaign "NFCR's Kick Cancer Team." Plus, your team will receive periodic updates on how the funds you raised are being used for life-saving cancer research so you and your supporters will know how your contributions and your effort are making a difference. Teams can fundraise by charging a ticket fee for spectators, donating the proceeds of the sale of food and beverages, and/or asking individual players to collect pledges/donations.

How to Get Involved:

Step 1: Sign your team up now! Click here to sign up your team online, or click here to download the Sign-Up Form.

Step 2: Read the "NFCR's Kick Cancer Team" Event Manual. This will give you some great ideas on how to raise funds and awareness for your event.

Step 3: Set up your own fundraising website. That way, funds can be collected online, as well as through the mail. Create your own site at www.firstgiving.com/nfcr/KickCancer.

How Can the National Foundation for Cancer Research Help?

The National Foundation for Cancer Research will provide:

• A detailed "NFCR's Kick Cancer Team" Event Manual to help give you ideas and step-by-step instructions on how to run your event. Click here to download the manual.
• Online resources, such as a Cancer Prevention & Detection Kit, which you can pass out to your supporters to help spread awareness. Click here to download these public education materials.
• Your school name, logo, and event details on the "NFCR's Kick Cancer Team" section of our website.
• Graphic support if you need it, in making fliers and formatting letters, etc.
• If travel allows, a representative from the National Foundation for Cancer Research can attend the event to help answer questions and provide additional information.
